1. Who we are
The Lovers Mind! Project (“TLMP”, “we”, “us”) is a children's ministry resource organisation based in Nigeria. We are the data controller for personal data collected through theloversmindprojects.online and our related WhatsApp, phone and email channels.

2. The laws we follow
We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and the guidance of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC). Where visitors are in the United Kingdom or European Union, we also apply the principles of the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
3. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Profile details: your name, email address and, optionally, phone number and church, school or ministry.
- Enquiries and orders: the details you type into our forms, which open in WhatsApp for you to send.
- Event submissions: event titles, dates, venues, descriptions, contact numbers and flyers.
- Directory listings: your establishment's name, address, contact details, meeting times and up to five photos.
- Comments you post in our gallery.
Information collected automatically
- Strictly necessary browser storage that keeps you signed in and remembers your cookie choice. See our Cookie Policy.
- Standard technical logs kept by our hosting provider (such as IP address, browser type and time of request) for security.
- Location: only if you tap “Near me” in the directory. Your position is used in your browser to sort results and is not sent to or stored by us.

5. Children's information
This website is designed for adults: teachers, parents, guardians and ministry leaders. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create a profile, post comments or submit content.
Under the NDPA, processing a child's personal data requires the consent of a parent or guardian. Photos of children at TLMP events are taken and published only with that consent, and we avoid publishing children's full names. Anyone listing an establishment must confirm they have permission for any children shown in their photos.
If you are a parent or guardian and want a photo of your child removed, contact us and we will take it down promptly. See also our Child Safeguarding Policy.
7. International transfers
Some providers (such as WhatsApp, Google and our hosting provider) may process data outside Nigeria. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards permitted by Part VIII of the NDPA, such as adequacy decisions or contractual protections, so your data stays protected to a comparable standard.
8. How long we keep it
- Profiles: until you delete your account, or after 24 months of inactivity.
- Enquiries and order messages: up to 24 months, or longer where tax or accounting law requires.
- Directory listings: while published, re-confirmed every 12 months, and removed if not renewed.
- Community events: up to 12 months after the event date.
- Comments and event photos: while the album is published, or until you ask us to remove them.
9. How we protect it
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), limit access to people who need it, review every public submission, and choose providers with appropriate security. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach is likely to put you at risk, we will notify the NDPC within 72 hours and tell you without undue delay, as the NDPA requires.
10. Your rights
Under the NDPA (and GDPR, where it applies) you have the right to:
- be informed about how your data is used (this policy);
- access a copy of your data;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to our processing, including for direct marketing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out;
- not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing (we do not make any).
To use any of these rights, email hello@theloversmindprojects.online. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission at ndpc.gov.ng.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. We will post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, tell signed-in users or ask for fresh consent.
